FAQs
FireAde 2000
- What is FireAde 2000?
- FireAde 2000 is the newest chemistry in firefighting foam agent technology. We have invested over 30 years of research and development into the current formulation. FireAde 2000 is the most complete firefighting agent in the world. We have combined several different technologies and chemistries to provide the most complete firefighting foam agent. The product was developed to simplify the firefighting foam industry which currently is very complex.
- What is the chemistry of FireAde 2000?
- FireAde 2000 is a proprietary blend of non-toxic chemicals. This blend is the secret to its success. FireAde 2000 is the most environmentally safe product manufactured in the world. FireAde 2000 has been tested by more worldwide government environmental agencies than any other one product manufactured today. The product is non-toxic, non-corrosive, and biodegradable. FireAde 2000 does NOT use nor embrace the traditional chemistry of firefighting foam agents. The traditional chemistry does NOT work as ONE compete firefighting agent.
- What makes FireAde 2000 so effective?
- FireAde 2000 is the most effective firefighting foam agent manufactured today. The elimination of ALL aspects of the fire tetrahedron makes FireAde 2000 superior to all other agents. The OXYGEN, HEAT, FUEL, and CHEMICAL REACION (free radical) are eliminated with FireAde 2000. These unique features insures the quality and safety of those who us it.
- What is the technology behind the product?
- FireAde 2000 was developed with firefighters in mind. “Wetting Agents” and “AFFF’s” (aqueous film forming foams) are the two most commonly used in firefighting foam technologies. FireAde 2000’s technology embraces both of these to allow superior performance. This migration of technologies truly solidifies FireAde 2000’s effectiveness. This accomplishment is the first if its kind in the firefighting foam industry.
- Is FireAde 2000 corrosive?
- The answer is NO. FireAde 2000 is as corrosive as water is to equipment. FireAde 2000 will NOT corrode standard firefighting equipment. We do NOT use harsh synthetics or acids that cause corrosion like many other products on the market. In fact, FireAde 2000 has been known to lubricate the equipment and eliminate/reduce routine maintenance costs.
- Is FireAde 2000 toxic?
- The answer is NO. FireAde 2000 has the lowest BOD/COD in the industry. The studies have proven that the toxicity to humans, fish, and soil is zero to very low (MPA MSDS). FireAde 2000 has been independently tested by environmental agencies worldwide. We have had more agencies test FireAde 2000 than any other ONE product. We have increased requirements in several countries on acceptable environmental standards. These standards are in the near future for the United States.
- Does FireAde 2000 separate?
- NO. FireAde 2000 does not separate as a concentrate or pre-mix. The product will withstand high temperatures and freezing temperatures. A unique feature is the ability to freeze and thaw without changing the integrity of the product. The product freezes at 32F. FireAde 2000 will not separate as a pre-mixed agent.
- Does FireAde 2000 extinguish Ethanol blended fuels?
- Yes, FireAde 2000 has been test on numerous occasions. The foam manufactures have created nervousness with Ethanol blended fuels. Yes, ethanol fuels are difficult to extinguish. However, these types of fires are the lowest percentage of fires municipal fire department face. In a catastrophic incident most fire departments do NOT have the budget to store the quantity required to extinguish these fires. AR-AFFF (alcohol resistant- aqueous film forming foam) foams are extremely toxic, corrosive, and not biodegradable. They are difficult to work with do to the viscosity. FireAde 2000 will work on Ethanol blend fuels with proper application. FireAde 2000 MUST be applied at 6%.
